We have partnered with Donna Scali, who is the co-owner of El Nido, a modern Mexican themed restaurant in Estero Florida. 

What we have in common 

We are women entrepreneurs empowering each other to think outside of the box and fill a market gap. When Donna owned The Grape people wanted more than wine and tapas, they wanted food. As you already know, Oneida and Ana are educating and bringing specialty coffee to the everyday coffee drinker.  

What brought us together 

An equally awesome women who is supporting and empowering other women! Lisa Schell (The Relatable Writer) is a writer who takes your words and makes magic. She was working with Donna and suggested she have a conversation with me and Oneida. Once we started talking, we knew we had to work together. Our projects are similar. Everyone truly enjoys Latin foods, they are comforting, filling and delicious. The same is true about the single origin specialty coffees that are imported from these same Latin countries. 

What we are doing together 

El Nido will be offering specialty coffee on their menu.  

One will be a Mexican Café de Olla. This is a traditional way coffee is prepared in the homes there. Water is infused with piloncillo (unrefined sugar) and Mexican cinnamon then brewed with the coffee from that region. 

They will also be offering a pour over coffee experience. This is the purest way to drink a cup of coffee to taste all the flavor notes as well as resulting in a clean cup. 

Chef Pedro is playing around with different recipes for a coffee cocktail with our coffee from the Dominican Republic. This alone is worth the trip!
